Jay Z ...Rocked it !
I honestly expected another lame live effort from one of hip hops biggest G's, just like that bag of shit 50 cent gig last year..... but not tonight.
5o came on stage last year with one other rapper and a guy on a hard disc player, that was it, worst show in live Cork concert history ( only went cause of the feebie ticket by the way - was never a fan )
Jay Z is a show man, class act. Full live band in matching suits, some guest dude at the start and amazing visuals and sound - f*ck, he is loud !
The whole package.
No cameras allowed into the gig, they took the batteries out of all cameras on arrival ... dont ask ...i got mine in, all those years in prision smuggling in cans of beer in me back passage was good training.
I took my life into my own hands taking these shots.
The word was Jay's people have total control over all coverage and recoring of the event, they say who takes what shots and when, hence the shit
pictures I took, outta focus and generally rubbish ( i had a 3 second window to get a picture taken before a bouncer crushed my head in )
All on all, really enjoyed it !
Stevie G did a top job too, holla ( as they say in hip hop land )
What is a 710 knob?
A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten knob. We all looked at each other and another customer asked, 'What is a seven-hundred-ten knob?' She replied, 'You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I have lost it and need a new one..' She replied that she did not know exactly what it was, but this piece had always been there. The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to another car which had its hood up and asked 'is there a 710 on this car?' She pointed and said, 'Of course, its right there.' If you're not sure what a 710 is ....look below :)

Black Hole Fun
The Earth is not at risk of being sucked into a black hole, a safety report into the world's most powerful particle physics experiment has found.
Scientists at Europe's CERN lab plan to use the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) to smash highly-energised protons together at super-fast speeds to produce miniature versions of the Big Bang.
The collisions will create temperatures more than 100,000 times hotter than the heart of the sun.
The machine will be operated undergound in a 27km long tunnel near Geneva and detectors will trace and analyse the particles that emerge from the collisions.
Physicists hope it will help answer profound questions such as 'What is the origin of mass?' and 'What is 96 per cent of the universe made up of?'
But some critics fear the collider could create microscopic black holes that could swell and end up eating the whole world.
However, the safety review from the European Organization for Nuclear Research said there was no 'conceivable danger' of this.
So all is good, now click below and sing all about " black holes "
Wed night in Cork City ....gonna be rocking !
High Heels for Babies ?
When you think babies, you think nappies, bibs and plastic bottles. Now think leopard skin stilettos.
Two mums in the States have created high-heeled shoes for newly born babies. They're called Heelarious and come in six different styles - including hot pink, black and white stripes and leopard print.
One of the inventors, Britta Bacon, came up with the idea as she was on her way to a child's birthday. She began thinking it would be hilarious if she could bring her daughter to the party in high heels.
The shoes are made out of a soft fabric and have a satin finish. They come in sizes 0 to 6 months and cost around £18.
In the two weeks they have been on sale, the 31-year-old mums have sold more than 2,000 pairs to customers in London, Ireland, and Belgium. 50 stores across America are selling them and you can get them online too.

BMW GINA
A car covered with cloth is something you would associate with the Flintstones, not the cutting edge of 21st century automotive design.
But BMW's latest concept car is exactly that - and it can change shape at the touch of a button.
The Gina - which at first glance looks like any other flashy sports car - is encased in fabric instead of metal panels.
Open the door and the slinky fabric creases and wrinkles like skin.
Turn on the headlights and the covers peel up like giant eyelids - designed to make the sporty roadster more aerodynamic.
And its seamless skin - a single piece of durable fabric - can be morphed at the flick of a switch to suit its owner's mood, offering an aggressive or classic look.
BMW's Christopher Bangle said: 'This revolutionary solution opens up new design and production potential.
'The outer skin can move and do things a metal skin couldn't do.'
The German car maker's pioneering vehicle is based on the chassis of a BMW Z8

E.S.T. R.I.P.
Esbjörn Svensson, the genre-defying Swedish jazz pianist and composer, has died in a scuba diving accident, his manager said yesterday.
Burkhard Hopper, manager of the Esbjörn Svensson Trio (E.S.T.), said that Svensson died on Saturday in Sweden's Stockholm archipelago. He was 44.
According to the website allaboutjazz.com, he had been swimming near a jetty with several other divers when the accident occurred; he was found "severely injured" on the seabed, and resuscitation on land was unsuccessful.
I have seen Esbjorn Svensson Trio play 3 times in Cork, they were my simply incredible. Esbjorn is on piano in this video. He was just amazing.

The Fly Report
This is so funny !
Reporting on the location of a recent murder this guy gets a mouth full of fly and goes insane.
Play it a second time and notice how he goes from " Perfectly spoken news man " to " pissed off Chris Rock " voice.
Now, what if you were reporting and a bird shit in your mouth ??

Summerness ......
In the mood for this kind of stuff today...
This was when Jamiroquai were amazing, when they started out - 93 'ish ?
It was the first album that turned me onto " black music " i suppose, soul jazz & funk floats it for me.
Their first 2 albums " Emergency on Planet Earth & Return of the space cowboy " are still amazing... not gone on the following years.
JK gave a shit about things back then, he was an earth lovin environmentalist/lyricist, who years later drives a fleat of 800 litre ozone slaughtering sports cars, strange that !

Last night was a bad night ...........
I had a dream about this last night ........
What the fu*k ?
Now it could have been a baaaaaad dream .... a really dodge scinereo, like I could have been with Shirley Temple Bar locked in a tiny confession box in a derelict church in Cavan after an 8 hour bender at the pfizers " viagra lab volunteers " christmas party ...Jesus.
But no, thank God, In my little dream world he was selling carpet with a traveller and they called to my apartment with offers of discounted floor fur, they both ended up playing Tiger Woods on my Xbox for what seemed like " dream hours "
No.. i dont smoke weed , i blame the cheese on that pizza !

Deepack Chopra... Life After Death ??
They say never meet your heroes, you will only be left deflated and disappointed. I don’t really have
A “ hero “ in a conventional sense, lots of people on radio I admire and rip off, a few cool TV people
I like , & to be honest there are just far too many heroes of music to mention ( Id love to Go on the piss with Dave Grohl and Stuart Zender , the original bass player with Jamiroquai )
Im a bit of a spirituality nerd, Ive read a lot of book ’s that have been rendered new age cheese , true to a point , but one dude has really opened my eyes to a lot of shit in life, Deepack Chopra.
He merges science and spirituality and makes it really accessible.
Some of his ideas are a bit mental .. But overall the guy Is amazing.
See what you think of these videos , and ignore the cheesy “ fan” photo.
Chips.
